We are proud to announce the first three Cape Associates team members to become Certified Tile Installers:

Billy, Chuck and Jay are the only Certified Tile Installers on Cape Cod and Cape Associates is one of only four companies in the whole state that employs Certified Tile Installers!
The Certified Tile Installers certification is through the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) and is a combination of a written and hands-on test. Both portions of the test are based on current industry standards and best practices for producing a sound installation that exhibits good workmanship.
Certification enables professional installers to provide industry-recognized proof of their abilities and secure more work. The program was developed in response to the lack of a mechanism for consumers to know the level of proficiency of prospective installers. By encouraging consumers to use only the best-qualified installers, the program will help to raise the quality of installations in the U.S.
CTEF had no plans to bring the certification to MA anytime soon, so we got BestTile in Plymouth to host the hands-on portion of the certification. They had to supply the materials and secure other tile setters to take it in order to meet a minimum number of trainees. (Thanks BestTile!)
