We love to tell Cinnamon’s Cape Associates story to anyone who will listen. Cinnamon Swable is the manager of our Property Management Division, but she started here 7 years ago as a part-time receptionist. She owned her own successful gardening and landscaping company based in Eastham but started at Cape Associates in order to fill her schedule during the lengthy off-season. Cinnamon remembers, “Michael Cole asked me if I’d consider a full-time position just as I was coming to the realization that I wanted to move on from self-employment to be part of a team.”
The rest is history, Cinnamon’s quick learning and strong organization skills made her an integral part of the Cape Associates team. When demand for our the Property Management Service started to take off the team called on Cinnamon to grow the department. She’s done just that, 7 years later, she now runs a staff of 10 inspectors, plumbers and administrators! Under Cinnamon’s direction, Cape Associates has also expanded services to offer commercial property management.
Cinnamon is known for her cackling laugh, which she says her son, Nemo, has also inherited. During off hours Cinnamon still loves to garden; she is an avid reader and loves to star-gaze. Together with Nemo and her long-time partner Brooksie, she spends time at the local beaches and restaurants and travels to Florida whenever she can. Cinnamon says, “Nemo and I have tried camping over the last two years and I hope it’s something that sticks and we continue to do.” When not at one of Nemo’s golf tournaments, hockey or baseball games, Cinnamon and her cat, Taxi Cat, also watch the flock of wild turkeys that have made themselves at home in her Eastham backyard.
